James Turned 1

Our little man turned O-N-E.  I can't believe it.  I really can't.  This year FLEW by so quickly.  It's so sad to say, but it's so hard to even remember him little!  Some James facts...

  • James has 8 teeth.  4 on top and 4 on the bottom.  It's so funny because Mari had ONE at this time.  they are just so different.
  • He loves to climb.  As you can see from my previous posts, I can't take my eyes off of him for a second!  He climbs the stairs, and SLIDES down them so fast.  Climbed up on the step stool, the dish washer, climbed INTO his old walker.  He is a little monkey.
  • Walks everywhere and walks like he's been doing it all his life.
  • Loves his momma, gets jealous, and is very aware of strangers at this point.
  • Wants to be into anything his sister is into.  Which makes her very angry.
  • Just got tubes into his ears to ring in his first year.  We are hoping he gets some relief soon.  The doctor said they took out a lot of thick mucus and he should hear much better.  He's been grumpy, so hopefully he is still recovering.
  • Loves to smile.
  • Hasn't said any words besides an occasional "momma".
  • Puts anything in his mouth.  Pretty much ate a crayon yesterday to my dismay.
  • Hates to be tied down.  Doesn't want to be in his car seat or stroller anymore.  He wants to walk and be on the move.
  • Has had four haircuts this year.  His hair is crazy.
  • Loves to clap and wave.  Tells us "all done" at dinner by lifting his heads as high as he possibly can above his head.
  • EATS like a machine.  When he's hungry, he walks over to his high chair and yells until you put him in his high chair and give him something to eat.
  • Doesn't like fruits.  LOVES meats.  LOVES pouches.
James completes our family so perfectly.  Such a joy.  I am hoping he and his sister become better friends as they get older.  I see glimpses and it makes me so happy, however, most of the time she likes to push him off of her and off of her toys.  They don't share very well... at all...
