A Night Away for Mommy and Daddy

Before Mari came into our world, Bobby and I took a little road trip.  It was the best thing we could have done.  It was so nice to just get away, and really focus on our relationship.  This time around, we knew we couldn't go away as easily as before now that we have Mari, but still wanted to spend a little time away just being "Alisa and Bobby"/"Husband and Wife."  We decided to stay in our own backyward and have a night away in Cincinnati.  We always talk about going into the city and trying some of the neat restaurants downtown but even though it's less than a half an hour away, it isn't always that easy!  So, we got a hotel room downtown, and picked three restaurants to try.  This seriously was one of the best ideas I think we have ever had.  We tried three fantastic restaurants (seriously, SO good), walked around the Cincinnati Home and Garden Show, and enjoyed each other's company.  I really think we will be doing this more often... we both admitted we have underestimated Cincinnati!  There are so many more neat places to go to and restaurants to try.

We didn't take a ton of pictures but here are a few from our visit to The Melting Pot- a fondue restaurant.  It was so much fun and absolutely delicious.

While we were away, Bob's Grandma and Grandpa Raymond, and his mom (Neenee) came down to stay with Mari.  I knew she was in good hands and was being loved on and spoiled rotten.  When we walked in the door, I KNEW she had a good time!  She started jabbering right away, as if to tell me all about her night. :)  We were so thankful they got to spend some quality time with Mari and that we could go away for the night.  Here are some pictures of Mari with Gma and Gpa Raymond and Neenee as well.
