Snow Day

Today was our first snow day of the year, which means I got to stay home with Mari!  Sometimes our school district will call a "snow day" when there's really not much snow on the ground.  Today was different... it was ice in the morning and we've been getting about an inch every hour since around 11:00.  Normally, I am Snow Day's Number One Fan.  However, today has been a little different.  First, Bobby was supposed to go to a funeral for his Uncle Lee (his great-uncle) and wasn't able to because of the weather conditions.  It broke his heart to not be there.  Uncle Lee was someone Bob had great memories of.  Second, my dad is flying in from Nevada.  Third, Bobby was called in for mandatory overtime when the roads were probably at it's worst (his 30 minute commute was about an hour and a half.)  This is also not fun because he is working tomorrow AND Sunday.  So, pretty much I won't see him till Monday.  Fourth, my mom has to pick up my dad from the airport since Bob had to go in for overtime.  My mom doesn't have the best car for driving conditions and isn't the greatest driver (I am pretty sure my driving skills come from her....)  All these things put together makes for one stressed and worried pregnant woman!  Bob made it to work and I'm still waiting to hear from my parents.

The good news of the day is Mari got to play in the snow for the first time.  She had a hard time moving around in her big poofy snow suit, but she really enjoyed it.  She loved eating the snow (surprise, surprise!) and watching Huntley run around the backyard.  After we came back inside, Mari wanted to cuddle with Huntley... Huntley wasn't havin' it. Haha!  Mari thinks they are the best of friends... Huntley isn't quite convinced yet. :)  Here are some pictures of our time together today.
